Banje Beach lies below the coastal road east of the Lazareti, looking back towards Dubrovnik’s old harbour and city walls. Its strip of pebbles gives it a different character from the rocky bathing places beneath the southern ramparts. Steps descend from Frana Supila Street, with Lokrum prominent in the seaward panorama. Reaching Banje pairs naturally with a walk out through Ploče Gate and past the Lazareti. From the beach, the historic city is seen at water level: Revelin and the harbour frame the coast behind, while the walls continue towards St John’s Fortress.
