Terms of use

By using StayBravo you accept these terms. They are written plainly; the key point is that StayBravo informs you and connects you with hosts, while you arrange and pay for accommodation directly with the host.

1. What StayBravo is

StayBravo (staybravo.com) is a travel portal for Croatia run by Absolute BAT d.o.o. We offer guides to places, sights and beaches, maps and listings of accommodation from local hosts. The community can suggest corrections and send photos.

2. Accommodation enquiries

StayBravo is an online platform for informing about and advertising accommodation and connecting guests with accommodation providers. A guest sends an enquiry to the host; the host replies directly to the guest. Agreement, contract and payment take place outside StayBravo.

An enquiry is not a booking or a contractual obligation, and StayBravo issues no booking confirmation. Any accommodation contract is concluded between guest and host only, and only they are responsible for performing it.

Never pay in advance to an account sent to you without verifying the host. StayBravo will never ask you for payment.

3. Accuracy of accommodation information

Descriptions, photos, prices and calendars are entered and maintained by hosts and are for information only. A displayed price is indicative until the host confirms it, and the host confirms the final offer and availability to the guest. Calendars may be synchronised with other portals and may not be real-time.

4. Content and sources

Portal content includes editorial texts, host information and user contributions such as suggestions, photos and votes. Some guides and descriptions are prepared from public sources with AI assistance and are subject to editorial review. AI-assisted text that has not yet been editorially reviewed carries a notice at the bottom of the page. Content is informational and does not replace official sources: check opening hours, ticket prices, sea quality, traffic and safety information with the competent source.

If you spot a mistake, tell us; corrections are reviewed by our editors.

5. Content you send

Hosts and visitors may submit content (listings, photos, suggestions). You are responsible for having the right to everything you send and for its accuracy. You keep your rights and give StayBravo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it and adapt it to the format (for example, resize a picture) on the portal, crediting you where applicable. You can withdraw the licence by removing the content.

Illegal, misleading or abusive content, content that infringes others’ rights, fake listings, unauthorised data harvesting and attempts to disrupt the portal are prohibited.

6. Moderation and reports

We handle content reports under a notice-and-action procedure. When we remove or restrict content we give the author a statement of reasons and information on remedies. Report through the report form or at [email protected].

7. Ranking and sponsored content

The main ranking parameters are explained on a dedicated page. Paid content is always labelled “Sponsored”, and payment can influence the position of content only when it is labelled as such.

8. Rights in portal content

The texts, structure and design of the portal are protected by copyright. Photos and data from third parties (for example Wikimedia Commons, OpenStreetMap) are used under the licences stated with the content. You may share links and short quotations with attribution; automated copying of large parts of the portal is not permitted without permission.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We provide the portal “as is”. We aim for uninterrupted service, but interruptions and errors can happen. We may change or discontinue the service and its content.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, StayBravo is not liable for contracts between guests and hosts, for the accuracy of data entered by hosts and users, or for the content of external sites we link to. Statutory consumer rights and liability that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Complaints and governing law

Send complaints to [email protected]. Croatian law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where the consumer habitually resides. Jurisdiction follows the applicable consumer dispute rules.

12. Hosts

Hosts who advertise accommodation also accept separate partner terms before their first public listing.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Changes apply from publication on this page, and the date of the last change is shown at the bottom.

Partners and acceptance records

In case of differences between the Croatian version and a translation, the Croatian version prevails, except to the extent mandatory law requires otherwise.
