The museum at Gradinski uspon 6 uses the Venetian Kaštel to present Istria's history and Pula's maritime identity. Beyond the experience of walking around bastions, its displays add objects, documents and themes that explain the development of the city and its defensive system. Fort Center Pula focuses on the network of fortifications scattered across the surrounding hills and coast. The autumn 2026 programme includes “Gremo na makinu! 150 Years of Istrian Railways”, listed from 17 September to 30 November. A museum visit can be combined with Kaštel and the underground Zerostrasse spaces, while remaining a distinct interpretive experience within the historic fortress.
