Bene lies on Marjan’s north-eastern shore, where pine woodland reaches close to the sea and provides extensive natural shade. The shoreline is partly sandy, and the area has long been associated with recreation, with tennis courts and a children’s playground nearby; part of the bathing area is also adapted for visitors with disabilities. This side of Marjan is normally approached on foot or by public transport because vehicle traffic through the forest park is restricted. Split’s tourist board information available in 2026 lists Bene as currently closed to the public, so check the latest access status before setting out.
