The Pokonji Dol Lighthouse was built in 1872 on a small islet located 500 meters south of Hvar, at the eastern end of the Paklinski Islands archipelago. The stone tower, standing 15 meters tall with its light positioned 20 meters above mean high water, emits a white flashing signal every four seconds and has a range of 10 nautical miles, ensuring safe navigation for vessels entering from open sea. The lighthouse is fully automated with remote control operation and requires no permanent crew. Its Admiralty number E3410 makes it an integral part of international maritime safety systems in the Adriatic.
