St Barbara’s Church is part of the route through Knin Fortress, the vast fortified complex above the town. The City of Knin places it at the start of the fortress square, just beyond the entrance area and beside Bastion Pisani, and identifies St Barbara as the patron saint of artillery. That dedication is especially fitting in a setting shaped by defensive architecture and gun positions. The city’s heritage strategy states that the church is managed by Knin Museum, was not damaged during the Croatian War of Independence, and began hosting weddings after Operation Storm. Visitors reach it on foot as part of a tour of the fortress.
