The Church of St Anthony is one of Knin’s most recognisable sacred landmarks. Local tradition and sources link its site with an early Croatian church, while the present building bears evidence of several historical renewals. Its plan is three-naved, with an inscribed cross and a semicircular apse facing north-west; an open timber roof structure and bell tower define its appearance. The church was burned in 1993, and the Franciscans began its restoration after 1995 to plans by Nenad Fabijanić and Božidar Uršulić. It was blessed again on 6 December 1998 and returned to use. A visit offers a focused view of Knin’s Franciscan presence and the restoration of its sacred heritage.
