Construction of the Church of Our Lady of the Great Croatian Baptismal Covenant began in 2011, and its consecration in 2015 gave Knin a major votive shrine. Its name refers to the prototype image of Our Lady of the Great Covenant, regarded as the oldest known Croatian image of the Virgin and discovered at nearby Biskupija. Jerko Rošin created the architectural design and Ante Vrban designed the interior. With 1,100 seats, the church accommodates large pilgrim gatherings; in August 2025, for example, it hosted more than 400 religious sisters and brothers. Its contemporary architecture and status as a votive church make it meaningful to pilgrims and to visitors interested in recent sacred architecture.
