The Church of St Nicholas the Bishop serves a parish founded in 1969 for new neighbourhoods on the right bank of the Neretva. Its first services were held in a temporary chapel created on the ground floor of a house, as permission to build a church was then unavailable. The present church and Father Ante Gabrić pastoral centre were built from 1993 to 2012 to a design by architect Marina Hren. The white-and-yellow complex is marked by a 42-metre bell tower, entrance arcades and a circular stained-glass window. Alongside the worship space, it contains pastoral rooms, a library and a chapel dedicated to Father Ante Gabrić.
