The Land Gate stands on the northern edge of Trogir’s historic core, facing the mainland and beside Garagnin-Fanfogna Palace, home of the City Museum. Local heritage interpretation identifies it as the substantial 17th-century North Gate. It still functions as a natural entry point for visitors approaching the old town from the bridge and mainland side. Passing through it leads immediately into the tight street network that preserves Trogir’s long Hellenistic and medieval urban continuity, one of the reasons for its UNESCO World Heritage status. The gate is an excellent starting point for a walk toward the cathedral, Cipiko Palace and the waterfront.
