The Church of St Peter stands in the narrow streets north of Trogir Cathedral and belonged to the Benedictine nunnery of St Peter. What remains of the larger monastic complex includes the church, bell tower, traces of the cloister, and the wellhead above a cistern. The church and tower were largely reshaped in the first half of the 18th century; a commemorative inscription records its consecration in 1759. Look for the portal, the large rose window, and the statue of St Peter above the entrance. Inside, Baroque alterations give the small former monastic church its present character.
