The Church and Monastery of St Dominic stand along the southern edge of Trogir’s historic core, close to the waterfront and the main pedestrian routes. The complex is a protected cultural monument and part of the exceptionally preserved urban fabric for which Trogir is inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Rather than functioning as an isolated landmark, it shows how monastic spaces, churches, houses and narrow streets developed side by side over centuries. It fits naturally into a walk along the waterfront and central lanes; the exterior is always easy to view, while access inside depends on church use.
