Srima is a coastal village immediately east of Vodice, joined to the town by an almost continuous ribbon of houses and a seafront promenade. Although apartments and small family properties dominate today, its history reaches much further back: medieval inhabitants fled Ottoman danger for the nearby island of Prvić, where they established Šepurine, and some returned at the end of the 17th century. Srima’s principal landmark stands at Prižba near Srimska lokva, where excavations from 1969 to 1974 uncovered two single-nave early Christian basilicas, generally dated to the 6th century. Along the coast, the main bathing areas are Lovetovo–Srima, Mali dvor and central Srima. The landscaped Srima Beach covers around 6,000 square metres and includes accessible entry, lifeguards, a playground, basketball and a floating water park. Lovetovo–Srima extends across roughly 16,450 square metres towards Vodice, while Mali dvor provides a quieter cove at the village entrance. This makes Srima particularly suited to combining beach time with walks or bicycle trips to Vodice and Prižba.
Srima adjoins the Vodice area, but Prižba on the Srima peninsula gives it a distinct historical identity through its Late Antique complex of two basilicas. Today’s seafront settlement is marked by apartments, villas and holiday homes, with Mali dvor, Srima beach and Lovetovo forming its bathing strip. Rather than Vodice’s town quay, Srima is experienced through its pebble beaches and continuous coastal development. Inland, a cycle ride through drystone walls reaches Prižba, connecting the shore with an archaeological landscape.

Srima beach is a landscaped pebble beach beside the settlement centre, covering about 6,000 square metres. It has lifeguards, accessible entry for visitors with disabilities, showers, toilets, changing cabins, a café, water park, children’s playground, basketball court and sunbed-and-parasol rental. Mali dvor and Lovetovo are two additional pebble beaches associated with Srima, making it easy to vary a day by the sea. From Srima beach, the view takes in Prvić, Zlarin and Vodice rather than the inland backdrop.

Start at Srima’s pebble beach, then cycle through the web of drystone walls towards Prižba. There, the remains of a Late Antique basilica provide the historical stop, with pine shade and a traditional corbelled stone hut offering a break from the coast. On the way back, Mali dvor or Lovetovo add two further pebble-beach stops. For water-based activity, Srima has the Kite windsurfing club, while local boat trips head towards the Šibenik archipelago.
The landscaped central Srima Beach covers approximately 6,000 square metres.
Prižba was systematically excavated from 1969 to 1974 and conserved afterwards.
Mali dvor is a small pebble cove at Srima’s western entrance.
Srima Beach provides accessible entry as well as lifeguards, showers and toilets.
