The Prižba archaeological site on the Srima peninsula near Vodice preserves the remains of two single-nave churches built at different times. Their relationship gives the site its name, basilicae geminatae, meaning paired or twin churches. The northern church is older and the southern one was added later; construction dates to Late Antiquity, from the 5th to the 6th century. Zlatko Gunjača led excavations here between 1969 and 1974, followed by conservation work. The surviving foundations and room layout reveal a sacred complex, while its stone fragments are important evidence for studying 6th-century church furnishings.
