The Church of St Dominic stands on the western side of Šibenik beside the waterfront, where the historic centre meets the harbour. Regional tourism information notes that the building retained a Renaissance character until 1910, when alterations gave it Gothic stylistic features. Inside, notable elements include two wooden altars, the tomb of Šibenik bishop Arrigoni and an organ made in 1818 by Gaetano Mascatelli. Its position makes the church easy to include in a walk along the western edge of the old town. It is particularly interesting for visitors who like tracing how sacred buildings change through later rebuilding rather than seeing them as products of a single period.
