St Nicholas stands on Prijeko, north of Stradun among streets climbing towards Dubrovnik’s walls. Its early medieval core and later alterations give it a different scale from the large Baroque churches around Luža. Over time, the façade was moved and remodelled, while lateral additions changed the original single-nave space. Include St Nicholas in a walk along Prijeko between the narrow cross streets and the eastern old town. The small church draws attention away from the restaurant terraces to an older religious layer of the neighbourhood, illustrating how modest buildings also preserve the city’s architectural history.
