Crkva Gospe od Milosrđa

Our Lady of Mercy stands in Gospino polje at Liechtensteinov put 16, outside Dubrovnik’s old centre. The shrine is administered by the Capuchins, whose arrival in the early twentieth century was followed by construction of the adjoining monastery. That complex developed in two stages, completed in 1928 and 1936. The shrine has a particular place in local devotion on the Nativity of Mary, when pilgrims come from Dubrovnik and the surrounding area. Visiting introduces the religious landscape of Gospino polje, separate in both location and history from the monumental churches around Stradun and Luža.
