Oršić Palace differs from many of Varaždin’s Baroque and Rococo residences through its Early Neoclassical design. City records indicate that Count Erdödy initiated construction on the site in the early 19th century, and the palace was probably completed in 1805. It later passed to Countess Paulina Oršić, whose name remains attached to the building. The façade is calmer and more restrained than the city’s exuberant Rococo examples, with a stone portal as a key detail. The palace is primarily viewed from outside during a walk through the historic centre and provides a clear transition from late-Baroque urban architecture toward 19th-century Classical taste.
