Kupalište Kvarner belongs to Lovran’s seaside-bathing infrastructure from the period when the town was developing as a climatic health resort and bathing destination. A scholarly study of Lovran’s bathing architecture describes it as a large wooden bathing facility comparable with Opatija’s Angiolina bathhouse. Peharova Cove contained another wooden bathhouse of the same type, opened to the public on 1 June 1908. Together, these structures mark a shift in the use of the coast, when the sea became a setting for organised bathing, recuperation, and social life. The site is especially interesting for visitors exploring Lovran’s health-tourism and architectural history.
