Stražica Lighthouse was built in 1875 on the northern cape of Prvić Island, on the eastern side of the entrance to Senjska vrata. The tower stands 5 meters high with a focal point at 21 meters above sea level. The lighthouse has a range of 9 nautical miles with 360-degree visibility. Until 1974, lighthouse keepers were stationed on the island; the facility was subsequently fully automated. Today it operates remotely through a monitoring system powered by solar energy. The lighthouse is clearly visible from Baška on Krk Island. It serves as a critical navigation aid at the entrance to Senjska vrata, an important maritime route in Croatian waters.
