Škaraba lies south of central Rovinj on the edge of the Golden Cape forest park. Instead of a conventional pebble bay, broad slabs of limestone slope toward the water and serve as natural sunbathing platforms. The seabed is rocky and the descent can be more pronounced in places, making the site better suited to confident swimmers than very young children. Access is on foot along paths through the greenery, and there is no parking directly on the beach. Škaraba appeals to visitors looking for a less urbanised atmosphere, flat rock for sunbathing and an easy way to combine swimming with walking or cycling through Golden Cape.
