The parish church of Saints Cosmas and Damian stands in Fažana’s historic core, on a site associated with Roman amphora production and pottery workshops. It acquired its present form after major rebuilding and enlargement in 1688, yet retains Paleo-Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic and Neoclassical layers. A Gothic church with a polygonal apse was built here in the early 16th century, while the older Romanesque church was converted into a sacristy. Its east wall carries a Crucified Christ fresco with Fažana’s patron saints. Inside are an 1858 organ and the restored 1598 Last Supper canvas by Giorgio Ventura.
