Slanica Beach lies in the bay of the same name on the southern side of Murter Island, around two kilometres from Murter’s centre. Its middle section has fine sand and a broad shallow area, while the edges give way to concrete sunbathing platforms and rocky stretches among pine trees. The shallow water suits young children, non-swimmers and picigin, and sports facilities and places to eat are nearby. It is easy to reach by car, with parking close to the beach. Because of its facilities and popularity, Slanica can become very busy in summer. The bay looks out towards the Kornati islands.
