Kukuljari Lighthouse stands on the low, rocky islet of Kukuljar, part of a group of islets and reefs off Murter’s southern coast. A light was established here in 1895, and the present small beacon marks the sea route with a white flash; its listed range is ten nautical miles. The islet has no permanent settlement and is not a conventional land-based attraction, so the lighthouse is generally viewed from a boat. Kukuljari is also known to divers for its rocky shoreline, underwater walls, and colourful sponge life. It is an engaging waypoint for sailors, diving trips, and seascape photographers.
