About
St Vitus the Martyr Church stands in Petruševec, on Zagreb’s eastern edge. The religious life of the area developed alongside the parish of the Nativity of Mary; its official history records the first Easter services held under the roof of the new church in 1992. Work then continued on the parish house and interior, gradually giving the building its present form. A visit is best planned around a service or arranged with the parish in advance. This is primarily an active place of worship and a gathering point for the local community, rather than a museum monument.
