About
St Vitus the Martyr Chapel is in Petruševec, a Zagreb neighbourhood in the Žitnjak area. Construction of the new chapel began in the late 1980s, when Petruševec was still a filial community of the Nativity of Mary Parish in Šanci-Savica. Parish history records that the essential planning and project documentation had been obtained by 1990, and that the chapel served the community’s religious life from that year. The independent Parish of St Vitus the Martyr was established on 15 June 2001. The chapel offers an insight into the development of Zagreb’s suburban sacred spaces; for access and services, consult parish notices.
