Telašćica

Telašćica Nature Park protects a large bay on the southeastern end of Dugi Otok and has held nature-park status since 1988. Its best-known landscapes are the island’s outer cliffs, which drop steeply towards the open Adriatic, and the saltwater Lake Mir between the bay and the seaward coast. Because the sea forms a large part of the protected area, many visitors arrive by boat, while Sali is the nearest main settlement for land access. Walking, cycling, boat excursions and landscape viewing are among the common ways to explore the park. Telašćica is particularly rewarding for travellers who want Adriatic karst, sea scenery and protected nature in a single outing.
