Built before 1662, Lalića Tower was a defensive structure constructed by local residents to protect themselves from Turkish raids during the period of Ottoman-Venetian conflicts. The tower features a rectangular floor plan approximately 4.5 by 5.5 meters, constructed from semi-dressed stone set in mortar with larger blocks at the base that decrease in size toward the top. Its unique design includes three interior barrel-vault structures and gun ports on all facades, making it a distinctive defensive building on the Makarska Riviera. Today, Lalića Tower is protected as cultural heritage (designation Z-6470) and represents an excellent example of how medieval communities organized their defense against regional threats.
