The Church of St. Peter stands at the entrance to Vrboska harbour. The 1331 Statute of the Hvar Commune records it as a boundary marker between Vrbanjska Vala—later Vrboska—and Pitve, making the reference older than the modern settlement itself. The Hranotić family held its patronage, and the building acquired its present form in 1469. A copy of a statue of St. Peter stands by the church; the original, attributed to the workshop of Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino, is kept in the parish church of St. Lawrence. It is a rewarding brief stop on a waterfront walk, linking Vrboska’s harbour with its medieval landscape.
