Church of Our Lady Queen of Heaven and Earth

The Church of Our Lady Queen of Heaven and Earth is Ploče’s parish church, at Obala dr. Franje Tuđmana 3. Set on the waterfront, its white form is a familiar feature of the town centre. The church and pastoral centre were designed by architect Ivan Vulić, and Pope John Paul II blessed the foundation stone in 1994. A relief of the Coronation of Mary was installed above the entrance in 2010, while the choir’s organ arrived in 2013. Above all, this is a living parish church, so visitors should observe Mass times and respect the quiet of worshippers when entering.
