The parish of St Anthony of Padua in Sesvetska Sela was formed in 1980 from the Sesvete parish and has operated independently since 1990. The present church was built between 1991 and 1993, consecrated in 1995, and enlarged and consecrated again in 2006. Its interior features stained-glass windows depicting St Mark of Križevci, Blessed Alojzije Stepinac and other saints, as well as a Last Supper window and a white Brač-stone statue of its patron. A life-size bronze statue of St Anthony stands in front of the façade. The church is on Voćinska Street beside the John Paul II Pastoral Centre and is closely associated with the Thirteen Tuesdays devotion to St Anthony.
