About

Anindol is a wooded park on Tepec Hill, only a short walk from Samobor’s main square. It was shaped into a landscaped excursion area in the 19th century, when reforestation also helped protect the town from erosion and flooding. Its features include St Anne’s Chapel, the former dance ground known as the tancplac, a stone Way of the Cross with 14 stations built in 1933, and the viewpoint called the Pyramid, begun in 1912. Anindol forms part of a walking route from the Old Town to St Anne’s Chapel and onwards to the viewpoint. It suits a short uphill walk with views towards Zagreb and Zaprešić.
