Galovački Buk lies in the Upper Lakes area and forms part of the living tufa-barrier system that makes Plitvice distinctive. Water spreads across a vegetated barrier into several streams and cascades, so the view changes noticeably with water levels and the season. The national park includes Galovački Buk among its characteristic cascades, while visitor guides place it around the Galovac and Gradinsko Lake section of the Upper Lakes. It is reached on foot along marked trails; visitors should remain on designated paths and wooden boardwalks because the growing tufa and surrounding aquatic habitats are highly sensitive to physical disturbance.
