Zeleni vir lies within the protected Vražji prolaz and Zeleni vir landscape near Skrad, protected since 1962. At the foot of a roughly 70-metre layered cliff is a cave with a still, emerald-green pool; its spring lies at the back of the cave and feeds the Curak stream. A waterfall drops in front of the cave entrance, while the cliff itself is a striking overturned fold of Mesozoic sediments. The pool is dammed and its water serves the small Munjara hydroelectric plant, commissioned in 1922. Reach the site from Donji Ložac or on the circular trail from Skrad railway station, and check ground conditions before setting out.
