Marlera Lighthouse stands on Punta Grkova, roughly six kilometres from Ližnjan, at the easternmost edge of southern Marlera. Built between 1865 and 1880, 25 metres from the sea, it helped guide navigation among islets and reefs exposed to strong currents and winter winds. Locals call it Lanterna, and it was continuously inhabited until 1970. The complex comprises a stone tower and a ground-floor building; it was restored in 2012 and converted into accommodation. The lighthouse is now automated, while the cape is especially striking at sunset.
