The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, also known as the Old Church, was Selca’s first parish church. It was built in the 18th century at the south-west edge of the village square, on the site of an older church recorded in 1633 as Our Lady in Selca, and was completed in 1871 with its three-opening bell-gable. Its present form displays restrained Neo-Baroque features of the later 19th century. The three-aisled stone church has a semicircular apse, three portals, a rose window above the central entrance, and quatrefoil openings above the side portals. Inside, coloured wooden altars and stone arcades are notable features.
