The Dominican Monastery of St. Mary of Mercy on Glavica was founded in 1475 on the site of a late antique fortification and bishop's palace mentioned in the Povaljska Charter of 1184. The church was completed in stages, acquiring its current appearance in 1633 when the Confraternity of St. Mary of Mercy in Bol, with community assistance, added a northern aisle. The monastery underwent major renovation beginning in 1963, with the museum reopened in 2021. The collection includes precious paintings, silver and liturgical vessels from the 16th to 19th centuries, liturgical books, valuable manuscripts, Glagolitic codices, and ancient architectural stone fragments.
