Church of St. John and Teodor in Bol

Church of St. John and Theodore stands on Glavica where numerous remains of early medieval architecture have been discovered. Built in several phases from the 7th to the 11th century on the site of a Roman fortification, it features a single nave with a square apse and barrel vault. During 11th-century renovation, pilasters connected by arches were added to support a new vault. Frescoes with floral motifs and marbled fields were found behind the pilasters. A large late antique room decorated with frescoes and marble pattern ornaments, featuring a barrel-vaulted cistern, was discovered in front of the church.
