Church of Pentecost

The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles is part of Vinkovci’s Orthodox heritage. Its original 1793 building belonged to the town’s late-Baroque-era fabric, but was razed during the 1991 war. The present church was constructed on the same site between 2007 and 2012, preserving its role as a gathering place for the Orthodox community. Its patronal feast is Pentecost, the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, marked by a solemn liturgy. Visitors should plan their visit respectfully around the church’s worship schedule.
