The Church of the Passion of Jesus in Vukomerec stands at Porečka 66 in south-eastern Zagreb. Pastoral activity began in 1969, and the parish was formally established by decree in September 1972 through a reorganisation of several surrounding parishes. After years spent in temporary premises and a chapel in Koparska Street, the parish received land for a new church in 1998 on the former Borongaj barracks site. The church, pastoral centre and parish house were completed and consecrated on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in 2012. The building now serves Vukomerec, Trnava and Borongajski Lug, representing recent Zagreb sacred architecture.
