Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord

The Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Trpinja is protected cultural property, listed as Z-1171. Built in 1755 in the late-Baroque manner, it is a single-nave church with a semicircular apse and a bell tower projected from the main façade. A round-arched porch occupies the tower’s ground floor, a wavy attic wall rises above its base, and a compressed Baroque onion dome with a lantern crowns the structure. Pilasters divide the side façades, while three round-arched windows light the apse. Inside are a canopy vault with transverse arches and a semi-domed sanctuary; the iconostasis dates from the second half of the 18th century.
