The Church of St Benedict and Our Lady of Sorrows is at 65 Matije Gupca Street in Kloštar Podravski. A chapel already stood here in 1294, and the site was later associated with a Franciscan monastery. The present single-nave building retains a Gothic core, with a three-sided sanctuary and buttresses, but was given a Baroque character around 1700; side chapels created a cruciform plan. The façade bell tower dates from 1787. The parish was founded in 1702 and the church was consecrated in 1805. The building is protected under register number Z-3166, while its organ is separately protected as Z-4170.
