Crkva sv. Ivana Krstitelja

St John the Baptist Church stands in the centre of Ivanska, where the parish community has a long history: a church is recorded here as early as 1307. The present single-nave Neoclassical building was erected in 1844–45 after the earlier church had become too small. A sacristy beside the sanctuary had already been added in 1704, while the parish was re-established in 1721 after separating from the parish of Štefanje. Inside, the principal feature is the 1931 high altar of St John the Baptist; there are also three side altars. It is a quiet local landmark and a useful stop for visitors interested in the settlement’s historic fabric.
