St Jadre Church stands on the slope above Splitska, beside the road to Škrip, amid former quarry land and olive groves. It is the ruin of an early Christian church and a tangible trace of Brač’s earliest Christian heritage. The site is individually protected in Croatia’s Register of Cultural Property under reference Z-1554. Its surviving walls still reveal the plan of a single-nave building, while its quiet position above the coast gives the site a distinctly archaeological character. It can be reached via the local road from either Splitska or Škrip, and will especially appeal to visitors interested in sacred archaeology and the island’s historic landscape.
