Prandau-Normann Castle stands in central Valpovo, within a park and the former defensive moats. This layered complex brings together a medieval tower and surviving ramparts, flanking Baroque wings, a court chapel with Late Gothic foundations, an inner courtyard and a Late Baroque-Neoclassical palace. Three generations of the Prandau family held the estate until 1885, when it passed by marriage to the Normann von Ehrenfels family. The Museum of the Valpovo Region has operated here since 1956 and presents the Prandau-Normann families. Visitors can explore the courtyard, medieval tower, chapel, moats and park, with a view over Valpovo from the tower.
