Church of Assumption of Blessed Virgin, Negoslavci

The Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos is the centre of Orthodox church life in Negoslavci. Built in 1761, it was accompanied by the foundation of a small school. It shares the village’s liturgical life with the older cemetery chapel of St John the Baptist. Manuscripts by parish priest Grigorije Babović, who served here from 1913 to 1933, are an important record of the Negoslavci parish. The church remains a place of communal worship, as shown by a service held before a pilgrimage organised in May 2025. Its patronal feast is celebrated on the Dormition, 28 August. The building is therefore best approached as an active parish church rather than solely as a historical landmark.
