Crkva sv. Jakova (Radoboj)
About
St James’s Church stands on Očura hill outside Gorjani Sutinski in the municipality of Radoboj. Dating from between the 14th and 18th centuries, it has retained almost all of the original massing of its Gothic structure. It comprises a nave, sanctuary, sacristy and a north-side bell tower, while buttresses reinforce the sanctuary. The church was associated with the Pauline monastery at Lepoglava. In the second half of the 18th century, a Baroque vault was added to the nave, together with a gallery, southern sacristy and altars. A surviving Gothic Madonna is especially notable among the furnishings remaining after wartime damage. The church is protected under registration number Z-2230.
