The Church of Our Lady of Soca stands in Veli Varoš, in an area once known as Seoce. A medieval church of St Mary de Pedemonte occupied the site, while the present building took shape after a fire in 1606 and rebuilding in 1658. The small stone church has a single nave, rectangular apse and bell gable, and it is protected cultural heritage. Because it is embedded among the houses of the old suburb, it is best experienced on foot while exploring Veli Varoš. It is particularly interesting for travellers who want to see how local religious architecture developed beyond the walls of Diocletian's Palace.
