Biokovo Nature Park was proclaimed in 1981 to protect the mountain’s remarkable geomorphology and biodiversity above the Makarska Riviera. Its highest point is Sveti Jure at 1,762 metres, reached by the Biokovo Road from the park entrance. At kilometre 13 of that road, in the Ravna Vlaška area, Skywalk Biokovo forms a semicircular, glass-floored viewpoint at 1,228 metres above sea level. The site includes an information centre, parking, toilets and a geological column explaining the formation of Biokovo’s rocks. The park suits visitors seeking a combination of mountain scenery, geology and far-reaching views across the sea and islands.
