Svjetionik Rt Lovišće

Rt Lovišće Lighthouse was built in 1874 on the far north-western end of the Pelješac peninsula, by the entrance to the Neretva Channel. Its layout is legible in the landscape: a freestanding stone tower stands beside a building set slightly farther inland amid low Mediterranean scrub. The station is unstaffed, fully automated and monitored remotely. Its main white light gives a group of three flashes every ten seconds, with a range of ten nautical miles and a height of ten metres above sea level. The site is particularly meaningful to boaters and to visitors interested in maritime heritage.
